Macrocosm/microcosm

“The universe is a body that God animates with his spirit. This is what the ancient philosophers called the macrocosm. Similarly, humans have a body, a microcosm, created in the image of the macrocosm, and the spirit that animates this body is a spark from the Divine Spirit.

For so many centuries it has been said that God created humans in his image! Which means that in creating us, he placed within us a quintessence of himself, of the same light, of the same purity, and of the same power. It is this divine quintessence within us that Initiatic Science calls the higher self. So, if we focus on our higher self, we connect with God, because our higher self is a particle of him. As a result of the efforts we make to reach this centre in ourselves – we can also say this summit, as from a spiritual viewpoint the summit corresponds to the centre – we bring forth forces that vivify all the cells of our body.”

God’s wisdom, love and beauty

God’s wisdom, love and beauty are limitless. The higher we rise on the ladder of evolution, the more we are able to intuit subtle realities. And yet, even if we moved one step closer to God every day, we would never succeed entirely in fathoming his mystery. The only sight of the supreme Being we are granted is, as it were, of his feet! But we can know his names – this science is described in detail by the Cabbalah and, in itself, enlightens us about a great deal.
No creature of any kind can know the infinite, eternal God, and it is right that this is so. We will continue to seek him and study him, and we will rejoice. There will always be something to discover, because forms are infinite, and elements are always appearing in the universe in new combinations. It would be terrible if there were nothing left to learn, to understand; we would just be waiting to die. But God is eternal life.”

Spirits (nature) – inviting them to participate in the salvation of humanity.

“When you go out into nature, try to be aware of the presence of all the spirits that live there and that were there long before human beings appeared on earth. Speak to them, marvel at the work they achieve in lakes, rivers, forests, mountains, clouds, and so on. And also ask them to assist all human beings who are working for love, light and peace to reign at last on earth.
Humans believe that, through political, economic and social action, they are the only ones able to play a part in how the world is run. No, in this living, conscious body – nature – to which we belong, there are a multitude of entities ready to contribute to the evolution of humanity. The four elements – earth, water, air and fire – have sworn before the Eternal to help those who are working to become creatures of peace, harmony and beauty. So wherever you go, remember to speak to all the spirits living in nature, even as far as the sun and the stars, and ask them to come and participate in the dawning of a new era.”

Love is something subtle.

“You have loved someone: from the very first moments you experienced wonder, poetry and music. The mere thought that the other person existed and that you might see them in the street or elsemaintaining love does not reside in physically possessing someone; it resides in something subtle that, through the other person, links us to the universe and to the beauty of earth and heavewhere was enough for you. You were once able to acquire an object they had touched or that had belonged to them, and even if it was something insignificant, for you it was the most precious treasure in the world because it was infused with their emanations: it was like a talisman. Then, you started to see each other and things took their ‘usual’ course, as they say. At the time, you no doubt tasted other pleasures and joys, but you lost that magical something you had experienced in your first encounters. And it all often ended in disappointment, misunderstanding and separation.
You must understand that maintaining love does not reside in physically possessing someone; it resides in something subtle that, through the other person, links us to the universe and to the beauty of earth and heaven.”

Gossip and slander, how to protect yourselves

“How often do you suffer when you learn that you have been criticized or accused unfairly? Your first reaction is obviously to respond, which is often useless, because we cannot stop people from talking and saying what suits them with no regard for the truth.

To avoid enduring gossip and slander, here is what you must do. Through thought and prayer, rise up to the regions in you where light reigns. There, the currents given off by this negative talk will no longer reach you: the law of backlash will take effect, and such talk will return to those who uttered the slander and they will be the ones to suffer its negative effects. This is how divine Justice manifests.”

Happy or unhappy events – wait before deciding

It is always difficult to decide what is good and what is not. Because something bad or wrong is not ‘evil’, and something good or right is not ‘the good’. There are often events that at first seem catastrophic but turn out to be positive. And unfortunately, the opposite is also true: apparently happy events are transformed into catastrophes because people have neither the wisdom nor the mastery necessary to take advantage of these favourable situations.

When events occur, we cannot know whether with time, they will turn out to be beneficial or harmful to ourselves and to others. So when you suffer a setback or hardship, make the habit of telling yourself that down the line, something good might be waiting for you.

Spiritual life – it’s purpose is to give birth to the divine principle in our soul

“The purpose of the spiritual life is to give birth to the divine principle in our soul. But to give birth to this child, everyone must be both man and woman, father and mother. As a father, they trigger the process of conception, and as a mother, that of formation: it forms their child and nourishes it. Genuine spiritualists are therefore beings who are complete: the masculine principle and the feminine principle live in perfect harmony in them, and this harmony makes them creators.
From the spiritual point of view, whether they be men or women, married or not, all human beings who are unable to achieve this harmonious union of the masculine principle and the feminine principle in them are considered as single. Unlike what happens on the physical plane, those who are spiritually single cannot bear children. Every manifestation in life is a form of birth. On the spiritual plane, a child can only be born from the union of the soul (the higher heart) and the spirit (the higher intellect).”

Physical body, our – is to our spirit what the universe is to God’s spirit

Daily Meditation: Friday, February 15, 2019

“Human beings are composed of matter, the physical body, and of a subtle principle, the spirit. But above all, human beings are spirits. If they have been given bodies, it is so that through them, the spirit can manifest and work on the physical plane.
The relation of human beings’ bodies to their spirit is what the universe is to God’s spirit. The universe is God’s body, and through this body, his spirit reveals all its riches. The universe only exists because God’s spirit continues to penetrate it in order to animate it and give it life. If God withdrew, the universe would return to nothingness. And the same is true for humans: when the spirit animating them leaves their body, it takes with it all its treasures: life, energy and consciousness, and their body disintegrates.”
